Fitted hard leather or plastic holsters that are ridged and designed for exterior wear on the shooters strong side hip are required for the Phase 1 course. Holsters must facilitate and hold up to repetitive drawing and re-holstering drills.
A complete equipment review will be gone over with examples for students to handle. Additional equipment such as magazine pouches to include number of magazines and placement will be gone over during and at the end of the class.
The rest of the class will be spent developing the technique to move forward, backwards and laterally while engaging a target or multiple targets. This level is the most fun part of the course and also the most challenging.
All aspects of Phases 1 and 2 are incorporated into these drills.
Skills taught in this course are meant to help you in a fight for your life against a motivated attacker that has decided to do harm to you or your family. While we can teach you the techniques needed to defend yourself it is up to you to practice and hone those skills into a practical applicable skill set to defend yourself.
Failure in practice is expected and accepted as a learning tool to ensure that failure is never encountered in a life and death encounter.
This dynamic and fast paced pistol course is designed with beginners in mind. Through out this four level program you will learn in a fun and energetic atmosphere how to perform with your combat pistol. This four level course is designed to walk the participant through the learning process of combat pistol marksmanship.
We developed this course in segments that designed to build the participant skill level, with each level building on the previous set of skills. At the end of level 4 the student will qualify to come to additional trainings hosted by the instructors through out the year to help build their skills, practice the skills they have learned, and learn more advanced techniques.
Range fees are included in the price of the class. Each student is required to provide his or her own firearm and ammunition. Ammunition requirements will differ between levels. The requirements for each level are listed below.
Semi automatics are recommended but revolvers may be utilized if that is the participants preferred firearm. (Contact the instructors in advance if you intend to utilize a revolver during class.)
Chest, shoulder, ankle and cross draw holsters are not allowed for any defensive pistol level.
